Dear Church Family,

After this week of wide-ranging changes, the Scripture that comes to mind to see outside oneself is in Galatians 6:10 which states, “therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family believers. If we keep our focus toward the betterment of others, we can weather any storm!

Remember the following announcements:

8:00 AM Outside Worship Temporarily Cancelled. In consultation with the Airport Freeway elders, it was decided to temporarily discontinue services outside starting July 12, 2020 because of the recent uptick of Coronavirus cases in our state and county. Our utmost goal is for the safety of the congregation. We will revisit meeting together outside on a weekly basis. Please join us online for scheduled ZOOM bible classes and worship services which start at 10:00 a.m.

Reminder: No Inside 10:00AM Worship for our English speaking service. Attendance has been low, so we are going to suspend inside service for the near future.

11:30 Spanish Worship service will continue as usual in the main auditorium.

Amid all the disease and turmoil in the world today, God has provided us a great opportunity to reach out to the community and the world. We have a unique opportunity currently to share God’s word!

We have our on-line broadcast though Facebook and BoxCast which can be viewed by anyone around the world. We have had two separate weeks where over 1,000 views occurred! Please spread the word about this format to deliver worship and let’s see if we can increase these numbers. Pray that more people will glorify God and that His Word will reach lost souls.

Prayer Needed

Patricia Burnett – Roger Burnett's mother passed away. The service will be Thursday, July 16, 2020, at Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery in Grand Prairie at 10:30 a.m. It will be graveside service only. Patricia’s husband was military and she will be buried beside him. We do not know if there will be a limit to the number of people who will be allowed to attend.

Terrence Barber- The service for Samantha Barber was held today (July 11, 2020). It was well represented as friends, family, and saints from Greenville Avenue Church of Christ, Shepherd Church of Christ and Airport Freeway Church of Christ gave their heartfelt memories of Samantha. Continue to keep Terrence is your prayers for strength in this transition.

Margaret Williams – Margaret is currently having problems with respiratory issues have been off work for several weeks. Please continue to keep her in prayer as she goes through testing.

Our missionaries and especially Phillip King and the Ennerdale church in Johannesburg, South Africa. Covid-19 is hitting this region hard and the unemployment rate is incredibly high. Pray for strength and safety for these brothers and sisters.

Miguel Linal’s father is in the hospital due to Covid-19 and is on a ventilator.

Mark Taylor – Mark’s hemoglobin has been decreasing over the past couple of months and he will be seeing a Hematologist on July 16. Please pray that his blood levels increase and for strength and encouragement for Mark and Anita.

Sharon Davis – Kyle’s mom is out of ICU. During the biopsy they removed one tumor and she started chemo this week for the cancer that is on her brain. I have admired the great son Kyle has been for his mom and how he is giving God the glory for every small win.

Joan Miller and Anthony Williams – asks for continued prayers for their job search.

Special prayer of thanks to everyone who has stepped up at this time to help out and fill in where it is needed. To all of those who produce our broadcasts; Larry Nunley, Rod Rebolledo, Don Hurt, Kyle Davis, Keith Miller, Brian Humek, Zeke Humek, and I am sure I am probably leaving someone out, and to Trish Handy for filling in for her mom and taking care of some of the administration duties, thank you for all that you do to help us through this difficult time.  We want to hear from you. Please reply to this email with any prayer requests or announcements and we will let our family know.

For The elders,
