REGARDING CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19)

We continue to closely follow the coronavirus (COVID-19) situation, and we want to update you on the steps we are taking to ensure our church is doing everything possible to keep our family in a safe and healthy environment.

  • First and foremost, if you are not feeling well we ask that you stay home.
  • Please wash your hands thoroughly, use the hand sanitizers at our entrances and refrain from touching your face.
  • We will have individual communion wafer/juice sets available for our communion
  • We will not be using the friendship pads at this time.
  • If you are at high risk, we ask that you seriously consider staying home. High risk individuals are the following:
    • Over 60 years of age
    • Diabetic
    • COPD
    • Compromised immune system
    • You have been in contact with someone who has tested positive

I know this week has been full of anxiety over the coronavirus. Let me remind you of Paul’s words to the church in Philippi: “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” We want to be people with a non-anxious presence in the midst of an anxiety filled world.

We will continue to monitor the situation and work to make Airport Freeway as safe as possible for our members and visitors. Thank you and God Bless you and all our family.
